The Crimson Turks - Reno (FFVII) by diasheitor The Crimson Turks - Reno (FFVII) by diasheitor
One more hatches/reticle work! This time is for other serie i am super fan: Final Fantasy.
FFVII was the first Square's RPG i played (shame on me, shame on me, haha!), but when i discovered this amazing world
i did not stop. Nowadays i am such a big fan of almost all Square's games of any consoles. RPG < real life!

Ha, another hatches/reticle pic! (I seriously didn't know how this style was called, now I can live in peace)
This time I do not really know the character (I mean, I've only heard of him, he's cool and stuff... no, it's not that I've never actually played FF... I, well, sigh. Someday I shall start, okay?) BUT STILL, in this one I particolairly like the hair: I like how you managed to put it together using those thick lines, I suppose you used the vector method? And, great effect about those back shadows, using different dimention points. That's very neat! :D
Also, goggles. :iconthumbplz:

Feedbacks, feedbacks everywhere! Haha! Well, today im a super-mega-ultra fan of FF, but everyone can start their journey (you know, a lot of people want to do it, but dont have free time and stuff).
I recomend this games (specially III, VII, VIII, XII, X and XIII). Now let's answer the questions - The hair: I made his hair in totally manual style (well, i know it is digital art, but i meant i use the pen tablet to do it).
The only thing which is vector there is the "balls" = Reticles/hatches, i made it in Adobe Illustrator then exported as bitmap to the Photoshop. I really like to work with this change between vector and bitmap.

Goggles rules, bro!

Yeah, I do want to start the series but I never get a chance! I mean, I have some time, but I've recently got a 3DS so I'm currently stuck with that, heh. :P
Oh, so you have a pen tablet and you do those lines manually, I couldn't say! :o Your lineart looks very clean though, I couldn't get that far even when using the Pen Tool in Photoshop. By the way, yeah, the hatches or vector stuff in general are a great choice when I'm too lazy to add backgrounds. :XD:

Sometimes its pretty hard to do the lineart with the Pen Tool than with the Brush tool. Because you do not have many options to make de line the way you want to, making manually
you will have freedom to create everything you imagine. I got a 3DS too, haha! If you want to start some FF game i recommend the Final Fantasy III - Remake for DS (as the 3ds have the portability thing
you can play too. This is game is not so complex and is super funny. Or you can play the Final Fantasy Tatics AD2 or even Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, both are pretty good.

I never used a pen tablet so I can't say, but even when I'm drawing with the pencil on paper I just can't get straight lines! So all my drawings look rough, and I've always admired those who can make such clear works!
Good to hear, pal! It would be nice to exchange our friend codes, I shall send you a note later with my code, if you agree.
Oh sure, I've heard of that game for the DS! There was a copy of the game on sale around in my town, I should take it; as for the others, I will just emulate NES and SNES systems on my pc to play them, yay! :D

I'm working hard in the game studio these days, but i will be glad if you send me your Friend Code (even i do not playing the time as i want to on my 3ds, haha).
Someday we can play something together with download play. I think every 3ds owner is expecting for one thing: Pokémon X n' Y, is not?

About Pen tablets, it is not expensive nowadays and you can improve your work, because it is easiest to make soft/strong lines, you use the pressure of your hand to control it.
And every such thing is configurable, you can make your own way to draw and you have the magical thing called Ctrl/Cmd + Z, haha!

Aw yeah, I do also have to study because I have some exams in September, so I don't get to be there as much as I want (even though I always find a little time to connect). So yay, I'm sending you the note! And yes, I'm of course looking forward for new pokémon X & Y!

I know that, I do want to get a pen tablet, but I'm not in the mood right now. I have also bought some Copics recently, so I'm trying to work more traditionally, that's why. In the meantime, I have the ol' school mouse still working when it's about the Pen Tool! And yes, Ctrl + Z.
